Rooms are spacious with balconies over the lagoon. Loved the river cruise to Lamanai and the stunning birdwatching right outside!

Staying at Lamanai Hotel & Marina was quite the adventure. The view from the Deluxe Queen Room was breathtaking, with balconies overlooking the serene lake where crocodiles often sunbathed. Having the Top Deck restaurant next door was a huge plus. the tacos there were excellent and reasonably priced. The room was spacious and clean, with all the necessities functional. One highlight included the easy access to river cruise tours, particularly to Lamanai, which was a fantastic experience. However, being somewhat isolated was a downside. The noise from the nearby highway was noticeable. The lack of a swimming option due to alligators was disappointing, as I would have loved a refreshing dip after a day exploring. Also, getting a reliable shuttle service posed a challenge. I had a few hiccups with getting picked up for excursions, which created unnecessary stress during the trip.

Should you try it? Yes or No
Fantastic location right on the lake makes it easy to start boat tours. Enjoyed delicious meals on the lovely deck while observing wildlife. The staff were responsive and attentive throughout our stay.
Some noise from nearby traffic was a slight distraction, and the options for direct excursions weren't always reliable. I also felt a lack of nearby swimming options was a miss.

It was just an optimal selection for a city break in Orange Walk Town with great value-to-price ratio. The restaurant had some surprisingly good tacos that really hit the spot after a long day. Bring your smartphone for the menu. they only show it on a screen.

The river views from our balcony were absolutely stunning.
Unfortunately, the restaurant's limited vegetarian options were a letdown. We had a difficult time securing reliable transportation to Orange Walk, which added unnecessary stress. Additionally, the presence of bugs was quite overwhelming, making outdoor dining less enjoyable.

The spacious Deluxe Queen Room offered stunning views of the lagoon, and the wildlife sightings right from the balcony were a unique touch. Dining next door was convenient, featuring fresh sandwiches with excellent prices. However, some noise from the nearby highway was noticeable, and getting reliable transportation posed challenges during excursions. The lack of swimming options due to wildlife added to the feeling of isolation, making some activities less accessible.
